Hello Friends, I know its not easy to be regular on writing blog and keep waiting for recipes, especially during this pandemic time of Covid 19. Everyone is cooking a lot and so do I. Everyone is busy a lot and so do I. Everyone is trying to be creative and cook something delicious everyday for there families. So, thought of sharing few which you all may enjoy with us.

I ate this at one of my dear friends house "Spinach Baati" and liked it. So its good to share when you learn something new after all knowledge increases through sharing.

Let's dig in the recipe. And make it and please our families.

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups multi-grain flour
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp yogurt
  • Salt as per taste
  • Red chilli powder as per taste
  • 1.5 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1/4 tsp carrom seeds/ajwain
  • 1.5 cups Spinach roughly chopped
  • Ghee to pour on Baatti after it's ready
  • Water to make the dough
Method:
  1. Mix all the ingredients other than ghee and make the dough neither too tight nor too loose. Like puri consistency.
  2. Make small/medium/big balls out of the dough and press a little from center. Like we are trying to make a whole in center of the ball.
  3. On gas stove, heat lots of water in a big vessel, boil these dough balls for around 10 mins. After 10 mins take them out of water.
  4. Bake them at 375F for around half an hour or till the outer layer looks light brown. Check them after 15 mins, if on the bottom side they look brown, change the direction and let them cook from other side.
  5. After they are done, break them open from center and pour some ghee in between.
  6. Serve them with yellow tadka dal.
