AvoOrange Burger

Yes, finally back after looooonnnnnggggg time. Summer was super busy and fun this time. But, I really truly missed my blog and sharing my love with you all. So, today I am super happy writing this recipe and more happy to share with you all. Again, I came up with experimenting a very healthy and kid friendly recipe. My son loved it a lot and he said he had the best burger ever. So, hoping you and your kids may also like it.




Ingredients to make Patty:
  • 1/2 Avocado pureed
  • 1 cup of chickpeas
  • 1 orange juice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 potato (can replace with 2 eggs)
  • 1 cup parsley finely chopped
  • 1 cup coriander finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 small onion very finely chopped
  • extra virgin olive oil
Ingredients to make Burger:
  • 5 Burger Buns
  • Some lettuce leaves/Spinach leaves
  • Sliced onions
  • 1 Avocado sliced
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Tomato ketchup
  • Mayonnaise
Method:
  1. Mash the chickpeas.
  2. Mix all other ingredients for patty together with chickpeas.
  3. Divide the mixture into 5-6 equal portions and shape each into a patty of 1/2 inch thick.
  4. In a flat wide pan on high heat, lay burger patties and pour some oil and let it get cook from one side until it turns little brown and then flip the sides and cook the other side as well.
  5. It may take around 10 minutes. 
  6. Enjoy this as is or make a burger out of it. 
  7. If you are making burger, cut the bun into halves and cook until lightly toasted.
  8. For burger, spread a little mayonnaise and ketchup on bun bottom. Place some lettuce/spinach, onions, avocado slices, tomatoes and patty, salt and pepper. Set bun top in place and here you go. Enjoy the scrumptious burger.
