Palak-Paneer (Spinach-Cottage Cheese) Recipe

Palak Paneer is the very delicious, simple, Healthy and famous Indian Punjabi Cuisine.

Serves: 4                                                                                         Time Taken: 20 Minutes


  • 1 Bundle of Spinach (Palak) - Boiled and grinded
  • 50 gms. of paneer - chopped in small cubes
  • 4 Green chillies - finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp of ginger paste
  • 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup of curd
  • 2 Cloves (Laung)
  • 1/2 tsp coriander (Dhaniya) powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric (Haldi) powder
  • 1/4th Tsp Garam Masala Powder (Optional)
  • 2 Tbsp of oil
  • 1/2 Tsp cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/4th Cup very finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup of water

    Palak Paneer

  1. Heat the oil. Add cumin seeds and laung (Cloves) in it. Add onions and saute till translucent. Add ginger, garlic, green chillies, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder in it and saute for a minute.
  2. Add palak and water in it, mix well and let it cook for 3-4 minutes on high-medium flame.
  3. Add paneer and garam masala in it and cook for other 2 minutes.
  4. Add curd in it and cook for about 5 more minutes.
  5. Serve hot with any Indian bread (Roti, Paratha, Naan etc.).
