Sindhi Kadi Recipe

Sindhi Kadi. A very famous Sindhi dish of main course. It tastes best with Cumin Turmeric Rice. It tastes a little Sour (Khatta).

  • Salt to Taste
  • 1/4 Tsp of Red Chilly Powder (Lal Mirch Powder)
  • 1/4 Tsp of Tamerin Powder (Haldi Powder)

  • Oil 5-7 Tbsp
  1. In a pan, heat 3 Tbsp of oil and fry bhindi/okra till they are soft. Keep them aside.
  2. Take another pan, heat 4 tbsp of oil and add cumin seeds. Once you hear the ticking of seeds, add Besan into it. Saute it till besan is light brown. Once besan is done, add salt, red chilly powder and water. Mix well so that no lumps should be formed. Cook until water comes to boil.
  3. Then, add all vegetables and tamerin paste into it. Mix well and cover the pain and cook it until potatoes are cooked.
  4. Serve hot with Cumin Turmeric Rice.
a) You can use any vegetables in it of your choice.
b) If you don't want to use Tamerin, you can use tomatoes in place of that.
